Went to JCSO to renew my CHL. Things have changed since the last renewal, and its not good. I had to produce a passport, or Birth Cert, to get a drivers license. That same DL now doesnt qualify for citizenship to renew a CHL. Its almost as if the system in Oregon is tightening in order to make you not qualify for a CHL renewal, or not want to bother. Jump down, turn around, pick a bale of cotton, and jump through our police state hoops. Oh, and any misdemeanor in the last 4 years disqualifies you. So, if you join a public protest against the government police state, and snag the easily-given B.S. charge of disorderly conduct (meaning you didnt lick officialdoms boot) youre 86d from a CHL. Pretty clever scam, huh? Yeah, its better than in the Peoples Republic of CA, but Vermont says no permit needed, period. Apparently only Vermont residents are trustworthy.
