Went to Joplin to do errands today. First stop Hideout Harley Hideout Harley-Davidson. Then Walgreens to pick up toothpaste etc for dry mouth. Then to mastectomy supply store. Medicare has struck again ! Keep in mind that Medicare cuts were set in place way before Obamacare. Not excusing Obama but we have known about the Medicare cuts at our hospital for a long time, and we are suffering because of it. Anyway. Before this we could get 6 bras at a time (once a year) and prostheses every whatever. No more. Bras only every 6 months and only 3. Amounts to the same thing but is inconvenient and cost more in paperwork. Speaking of paperwork. My mastectomy store (Riddles) was audited by Medicare and were cited because the same person who orders the bras has to be the same person who fills in the date (which the store does as a courtesy). Sheesh ! Hard to argue since Medicare pays for mastectomy supplies. Quick stop at Hobby Lobby to pick up some blanket binding. Then I picked up David and took him shopping. Ouch. But he needed phone time, boots, food , winter work clothes. We ate at Carrinos and I took him to what passes for his home and his 2 dogs.
