Went to Temezcal this morning! We went early to help with the preparations. Built the fire and help set the large stones that were heated on the fire. We put the large blankets on top of the stick structure where we all sat inside. The stones are carried in one by one and then the doors are closed. They put water and herbs on the stones to heat up and add vapor to the structure. Its completely dark inside and they sing with water drums. Its such a great experience. It was hard to breathe at times but then they opened the doors. After many prayers and songs, and being welcomed by the family, we shared fruit and hugs and bathed in the river. This gave me so much energy for the day!!! I loved it! Thank you so much Boris!
