Went to X-Men: Days of Future Past last night. I found it - TopicsExpress

Went to X-Men: Days of Future Past last night. I found it absorbing and entertaining, but like the good geek I am, I was bothered by a number of unanswered questions and continuity problems. [Spoilers ahead] 1. How did Professor X come back from the dead in his own body, which Jean Grey/Phoenix so thoroughly pulverized in X Men: The Last Stand? 2. When did Kitty Pryde get the ability to send peoples minds back in time? 3. Who the heck were all of the new X-Men in the dystopian future? Like the one who made wormholes -- are they even from the comics? 4. We see Havok briefly, but what happened to all of the junior X-Men from X-Men: First Class? And what about Moira MacTaggert? 5. Why did the government officials around Nixon seem to be unaware of the CIAs Division X, which, in First Class, had studied the mutants thoroughly? 6. Anna Paquin is among the top-billed actors, but she appears on screen only for a second or two, while other cameos by Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, etc. are longer and they dont get top billing. And so on. If Bryan Singers crowd is trying to build a storyline to compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, youd think theyd be a little more careful about this stuff.
