Went to a beautiful funeral service today for my Sister-in-law who died on Thursday after suffering almost 40 years with MS. Because her MS was diagnosed in the mid 70s, they used radical treatments on her such as shock therapy and even brain surgery, which only caused more issues, namely dementia. I actually didnt know the real Kathy, sad to say, because of her mental issues. But her daughter (who I also dont know well as they grew up in Utah) gave the most precious eulogy. In it she shared how even though a large portion of her life she was sick from the MS, there were many God moments where God showed he still had his hand upon her. The other interesting fact of this service was that it was held in a Mormon church, as Kathy was Mormon, as are her children. I really didnt know what to expect, but you cannot tell me her daughter did not know Jesus in a real way. There was such an anointing on her eulogy, I cant help but rejoice Kathy is in a better place and up their dancing with her mother! I wanted to stand up and applaud when she was done. And though I do not believe everything the Mormons believe (one, that they dont drink coffee--ummm, hello?...ha), I can agree with this. That Jesus Christ is Lord, and Savior. And that tomorrow we will celebrate together his Resurrection! Again, beautiful funeral.
