Went to a lovely evening at wakefield art gallery last night, the theme was inspirational women. all the speakers covered lots in their talks from ginger women, artists that make us change our way of thinking in the world, women who have shown us how to be happy in the moment, mothers who have tempted you on the path of following your heart ... a lady who was asking herself.. if i could really be anyone i want to be with nothing in the way what would i be? .. the answer was a drag queen, with all that glamour and sparkle and thats exactly what she was :) :) to a history of female sculptors that are amazing :) (after a lecture where it was said there females were not good at sculptures) to teaching young white girls some Jamaican expressions and attitude :) ...and there was talk of the amazing blind and deaf activist Helen keller who always kept going :) wow... so the message i took from talking about women, was be who you want to be, how you want to be whenever you want to be, life is precious so be happy, dont care whos watching you, express when you want, follow what you believe to be right and you dont have to follow the norms :) X
