Went to church today to see my sweet Moon Pie be dedicated into the Bardstown Baptist church.....was a sweet service. Had lunch with all of the family then a trip to Valley Station......on our return home, we found our old girl PAIGE, our rot/collie mix that we have had since she was a tiny baby, down on the floor and could not get back up........she would be 12 at the end of this month.....of all our many beloved dogs, Paige has always been our fighter.......she has always had ad continues to have the spirit of a fighter and the heart of an angel. Paige has fought the pain and crippling of arthritis for several years now.....I always asked her to let us know when her time has come, and I truly do believe her eyes spoke those exact words to me today. So Billy and the other pups are up on the hill digging her grave. Tomorrow, if nothing is drastically better, she will go to Heaven to be with all of those who have passed before her here. I know one in particular who is waiting patiently for her- Caesar, our lab who adored her so much. And she felt the same about him. She was never the same dog after he died. Tomorrow, two friends will meet once again. Life has some of the saddest moments, but we do what we have to do. Please pray for Miss Paige, that she will go quickly and peacefully......and keep the rest of our family in your prayers as well. When we lose one, we all hurt so much here.
