Went to have the final fitting for the prosthesis today. I was assisted by two physical therapists who supported me tremendously. Taking the first steps with the prosthesis (although the one that I am wearing in the picture is temporary) was incredible. I had to focus on walking so that I would not tear up. I was surprised that I was not as wobbly as I thought that I would be. The next step in the process is to go into rehab hospital on Sunday, August 10. I preferred to go there sooner. But, todays experience shows me that I will be able to get through the process much faster. I am anticipating being there no more than a week. Continued prayers would be greatly appreciated.
