Went to see The Heat last night and the drive home was an adventure. Ute Pass (by the Waldo fire scar) had dirt and rocks all over it. Turns out had been closed just a few minutes before we started up it. Then a truck loaded with diesel fuel was leaking fuel from its own fuel tanks and the road was one lane. As we got closer to home, fog was very thick, LOTS, LOTS of water standing luckily in the ditches, hail covered the road in several places and to boot, a herd of Elk were standing in the road. You just never know what adventures you will find here. Most of the way home, power was out to all of the houses. Our house had power about 30 minutes after we got home then we lost it about an hour. Must have been quite a storm.
