Went to see dad, 3 times today.. First 2, he slept throughout the whole visit-having no clue we were even there despite attempts to wake him to talk...But this evening we all went back for the 3rd time, and to say goodnight, and he was awake, and alert enough to know we were all there!!! Theyre keeping him pretty heavily medicated to keep him comfortable so we were so glad he was awake!! He motioned to us he was thirsty.. I said dad what do you want to drink? He mouthed the words root beer- but with a sense of excitement!! It was so sweet!!! You bet your butts I found his nurse and got him a root beer, and he took drips from a straw for the better part of 30 min!!!! My daddy is a trooper, hes so so strong.. Even in his final days, hes pushing his limits and not giving up. Thats why we LOVE him so much. One of the strongest, most wonderful men Ill ever know!!!! #prouddaughterofMikeBall 🙏💪
