Went to see the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red poppy exhibition - TopicsExpress

Went to see the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red poppy exhibition at the Tower of London with Allyson Stabb last night. It is absolutely incredible and beautiful. It doesnt strike you immediately that each poppy represents a British and Commonwealth fatality in the first world war but when it does and you walk around the tower and there are just more and more poppies (they really do fill the entire moat of the tower) it becomes harrowing. Im no art critic for the Guardian but I felt it was a poignant and beautiful memorial to those who lost their lives. If you get a chance go to see it do so!
