Went to sleep on the couch watching a boring FB game (missed my power nap today) and cannot get back to sleep...nothing worth watching, so I went to the DVR and discovered I have accumulated a few more episodes of the Lone Ranger, so I started one ....the simplicity of the plots of these old, old westerns is so refreshing as they are hilarious...Tonto is sent by the LR to follow a suspicious character to an old empty house right in the middle of town where the outlaw has a secret panel beside an old fireplace that opens a wall when the mantle is pressed inside this supposed empty house...behind the panel is a huge stone staircase leading to a large room with a tunnel dug under it directly to the bank next door... In this large room is furniture and torches and boxes of dynamite....the sheriff is a cagey old codger too stupid to pour water of his boot if the directions were written on the bottom of the heel, but he knows about the town because he lived there sixty years...and he knew who the LR and Tonto are, but the outlaws didnt have a clue...now, wouldnt even a five year old wonder how that hideout was built under that old abandoned house and NOBODY knew...right in the middle of town...?....apparently we five year olds in 1950 didnt ... That was high drama, great entertainment, and the good guys ALWAYS won....Man, thats entertainment ....Hi-Yo, Silver ...away!!!
