Went to the city centre for lunch, I walked down a alley way for a shortcut and I saw a woman,. white, 35, slumped on the pavement. There were a few cans nearby. Another down and out drunk I commented to myself and I continued to walk on. About 15 mins later, I headed to the same shortcut. The woman is still there, on the pavement, still, as I thought, out stone cold. There were city suits standing over her, one of them in conversation on his BlackBerry. I was stationary for a few seconds then continued to walk on when I could not hear what the suit was saying. Some good Samaritan I am... Felt bad.... Worst when I think about it. How could I have known?
