Went to the gym today with hopes of crushing out 2 miles. I ran 2 miles at a 5.6 pace (the fastest pace I have been able to do for a full two miles yet) then pushed it up to a 6.0 pace for the next half mile. I have been taking turns between running for distance and sprints. A couple times a week I will do 90 second intervals (2 times) at each of the following speeds: 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5. I think it might be paying off. I think I may just see that 8.6 miles in the (very near) future. Pretty proud moment.
