Went to the hotel gift shop to buy a couple of aspirin, only to find that the price for 24 was $12.00. No way!!! I walked to the bus stop where I met a retired couple from Britain. They had come here for the warmth but were disappointed at the lower temps. Bless their hearts, they packed shorts and sandles and were instead wearing their coats. They had been here since Sunday and were very experienced in using the city public transportation system. We got the bus together and they directed me to a CVS Pharmacy, they also told me about a wonderful place for lunch. So, for $2.25 for the bus and a short trip downtown, I was able to get my aspirin, $3.00 for a bottle and just had a wonderful light lunch in an Italian Bar and Restaurant. Home cooked black bean soup and caprese...the Italian chef came out and asked me if I was pleased with his soup. What a treat. So glad that The Lord allowed me to meet the nice couple (both in their 70s)...what a blessing. On my way back now from lunch to work for awhile on my notes. God is good all the time.
