Went to the visitation of a 5 year old who passed away. I didnt - TopicsExpress

Went to the visitation of a 5 year old who passed away. I didnt know him personally, but Robbie knows his Mom. Theres no grief like that of a mother for her child. None. Out of respect for the family, I wont go into detail about what I saw and experienced, because what can I say that would even compare to what they are going through right now. All I know is.....Jesus. Later we went to the grocery store for one thing--peanut butter. Instead of the express lane, we chose another. The customer in front of us was a man of about 90, Shaky in his stance, wearing a gold band on his ring finger and stooped in his stature. His card wouldnt go through--even after the manager came and tried to get it to work. For some reason, your card wont go through, sir. Is there another way you can pay? I barely heard his response. No, maam, he told her. Robbie & I both were thinking the same. Maam, Robbie said quietly to the checkout lady. Ring it up with ours. She told the man to hang on just a second...rang everything through, and told him he was good to go. All he was trying to buy was paper towels, bananas and some oatmeal. He didnt have a way to pay.....but we did. I dont believe we chose that checkout aisle randomly. I believe it was divinely directed. Im so thankful we chose to listen. In situations like these...such emotion-filled instances where were are fully but awkwardly present....God calls us. He asks us to be there. Whether its simply our presence, or our assistance. And its in situations like these that all I know is ....Jesus. He is risen!
