Went with Bruce again to make deliveries. The first one was the furthest we have gone so far. Waaaaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere over ditches and rocks and ruts and stuff (and it wasnt on the way to Grandmas house for sure). But the final destination was well worth it......... Made some new friends. Foozie is 28 and Judy has had her since she was 6 months. Beautiful, loveable, huggable. Loves to smile and talk and get kisses on her soft nose. Rosie was a 3 year old rescue thoroughbred. When Judy got her she was 400lbs underweight and very sick. Judy brought her back and showed her for years. She is a little stiff getting down now but she did a few tricks for me. She is 25. DJ is Rubys son. Dad was a wild mustang. Loved the stripe down his back. He and I became instant buddies. He also knows a few tricks and showed them to me as well. He is a youngster at 20. Judy is 63 (dont tell her I told). She has more energy than you can imagine. Her spread is 50 acres and she tends it herself with her tractor and stamina. Hope Im going like that when Im her age!!! She has an arena where she does keep the horses mildly active going thru their routines. It is so obvious how much she loves them and they love her. (and the lemon creme cookies she gives them for treats) She needs another load of water next week. Cant wait for that ride-a-long. Told her I would bring carrots.
