Went with Lee to her surgeon today because they are hearing whistling noises in her fistula. They first did tests to confirm there was a a problem, apparently the artery and vein feeding the fistula are closing some and this is a substantial problem for her dialysis. As a result she will go into the Nebraska Medical Center as an outpatient on Thursday following a different doctors appointment and they will do some kind of dye testing on the fistula to determine the exact problem and then immediately do surgery. Since the fistula is the only current method to treat her failed kidneys via dialysis treatments, any problems with it must be attended to pretty immediately. While her fistula was compromised during her last hospital stay at Lakeside we dont know if that is what the issue is or something else but the feed is not sufficient.
