Never again will you face the risk of getting really sick and then having your insurer tell you, Sorry, youve run out of coverage. 2) No annual caps on coverage either. 3) Insurers can no longer exclude pre-existing conditions. 4) Insurance companies cant drop you when you get sick, either—this means the end of a little game insurers used to play, called coverage rescissions. 5) You can stay on your parents health insurance until youre age 26. 6) Seniors get $250 towards closing the Medicare doughnut hole in their prescription drug coverage. 7) Medicares preventive benefits now come with a free visit with your primary care doctor every year to plan out your prevention services. And there are no more co-pays for preventative services in Medicare. 8) This is a big one: Small businesses get big tax credits—up to 50 percent of premium costs—for offering health insurance to their workers. 9) Insurers have to give rebates to their customers if they spend more than 20% of premiums they collect on ads and CEO bonuses, and every insurance company has to reveal how much it spends on overhead. 10) No costs for contraceptive aids /meds, and other preventive services for women. 11) Preventive primary care exams for all.
