Were celebrating at Ember tonight because we got a clothes dryer!! Let us explain why this is so exciting. Since April we have been looking for a dryer and no stores carried them. They said they stopped importing them at this time. You can imagine how many sheets, blankets, and towels that we have to wash at Ember each day. This is so difficult during the rainy season because they take forever to dry and there is limited space to hang them up. After theyre dry, we iron the linens because it kills these little bugs that like to live in Ethiopia. Our poor housekeeper spends hours and hours ironing sheets. We gave up on even asking around for a dryer because we knew we were out of luck. Today we went into a mall, looking for a cell phone shop, but we happened to walk past an electronics store. Katie said, oh maybe they have a dryer! I doubted it, but we checked anyways and they did!!! Now we have a dryer! All problems solved on the laundry front. Next time you stay at Ember, you sheets and towels will be fluffier than ever. Never take your dryer for granted! Thank you, Jesus!
