Were doing some housekeeping and have just deleted over 40,000 subscribers to our email list. If your email marketing strategy is loading up broadcast messages and clicking send to everyone who opted in with a pulse then you might want to rethink your strategy. Segmentation + engagement is soon going to be pretty much mandatory, even with permission based emails. By 2017 I highly doubt folks will still be experiencing success by sending the same email message in bulk to a huge list, unless they opted in for that exact and specific message. Those emails will get harder and harder to deliver. Plus, its just smarter (and more profitable) to segment your audience and send messages that are more relevant and personalised, Just my 2 cents and I hope it helps! :)
