Were evolving you say? I tend to disagree. What you view as evolution is merely an adaptation, one that hinders our future success. As we grow smarter, we also grow dumber. Simplifying our daily tasks to that of nill, leaving us to create and explore new outlets, but at what cost? What has this evolutionary advantage of comprehension and invention done to our biological chemistry? 10,20,30,50,100 years ago, our mere existence was nothing like what we view today. Every day, every month & every year, we adapt and change for what we consider is the better .. But what is considered healthy for our future of existence? I forsee a destructive path laid forth by our very movements, of which it seems we currently have no handle on. We cant control our future if we dont understand our past. Each day that passes adds more and more uncertainty for our grandchildren. We are destroying our very DNA, and our very planet. People talk about destroying our planet more than they discuss our displeasure with our very day-to-day existence. Im upset we have people who dont know how to converse with other sentient beings. Im upset we are pressured to use technology at every turn. Im upset we have come to this conclusion. Or what I hope is the conclusion to this chapter, and not the conclusion of the book. It isnt easy to take a step back and rethink our mere habits. For the general population, they find more satisfaction in being blind, deaf & dumb to the troubles and struggles of anyone that isnt themselves. We find no gain or instant gratification when we help another human being, or do we? I hope we can change that viewpoint that is drilled into us on a daily basis. Drilled into us by companies, corporations, family, politics, friends, coworkers, the daily cliche, everything that currently exists, it seems to loom around every corner. I wish I could wake up from this very dream. It seems un-human like. Born into this world a free man, one with choice, or so it seems. The very though of choice is not free at all. If we wish to be the best version of ourselves, we must understand that there is no choice. The only choice is the right one. You must make that decision for yourself, for I can only walk the path, my own. One day, when old and gray, looking back on past and current events, problems only seen in hindsight.
