Were extremely disappointed with some of our so called supporters comments in relation to the up and coming season. We, Chesterfield FC have a wage structure to work within if we want to keep running as a football club. If we could guarantee 10,000 gates every game, then maybe wed pay their demands, but we cant. Would supports rather we put the club in financial risk!! Or would they rather have a football club to watch / support in the near and distant future. It is our intentions to fully run this club within the parameters we have. There is only one thing that happens to clubs who spend more than they have (they die). The club are finding it very difficult in bringing a forward in at this moment due to their silly demands. All we can say is please support the club in the right way and hopefully we will all move forward in the right direction together. This is no time to be negative and being defeatist 5 weeks prior to the new season. Mr Cook, the players and the board will do all they can to give us all a successful and enjoyable season.
