Were finding out how much work it is to pack for a family of 10 for our Make-A-Wish trip to Hawaii. Representatives from Make-A-Wish were here on Sunday and gave us all our details. It is absolutely incredible and everyone is getting really excited to go. Instead of a hotel they have rented a house for us to stay in and provided ample $$s (that is a major understatement) for expenses such as food, gas, souvenirs, etc. What a blessing! Part of the packet of trip information was reminders on making your home secure while traveling and being away. I am breaking one of the main rules on the sheet because it says to not post anything about being away to Facebook, Twitter, etc. for security reasons. I understand the possibilities of hackers, feuding family members, or vengeful friends, but is seems quite ironic as I explained to the kids that we should not tell our friends that we are away from home because they will come over as soon as we leave and steal our stuff. Anyway, for all my friends who have that in mind, our house will not be vacant while we are away as someone will be living in it and taking care of things while we are gone, and unless you have young kids, we dont own anything you would want. More updates later as we get ready to go.
