Were following all leads but are going to put search focus back on original area around the trainers at CR 2264/CR 4223 and surrounding areas: land between CR 4010 to north of CR 2264 and CR 4221 to south of CR 2264; and roads off of CR 2264 to north & south. (Original sightings were at CR 2264/Mockingbird...CR 2264/CR 4219...CR 2264/Heritage Creek South & Heatherwood Ct...just west of Heritage Creek North Subdivision.) The rescue groups assisting me believe that most dogs stay within area lost- unless picked up and taken out of area. Based on best recommendations for finding a dog thats scared & hiding in unfamiliar territory- wed like to see if any local people in the above described area would help us this week by: SETTING UP FEEDING STATIONS. This is SIMPLE: a handful of dogfood (or canned dogfood or even boned chicken pieces) and bowl of water in a shady area that is somewhat private for a dog to come...and maintaining that food/water for a week. Then watching that area in dusk/early evening & early morning to see if dog appears. IF Grace is still in area (as one possible sighting on Fri 9/26 suggests & the rescue workers suggest is the norm)...then having spots to feed will allow her to come regularly & hopefully be seen and then captured. Grace is used to being around a barn & our horses...and cattle are in pasture next to us. So areas similar to those might also be a place she could seek out. She loves children too. Info is that a dog in the wild for 10 days can begin to act feral/go into survival mode. It is suggested to NOT use her name initially as some dogs rescued in similar situations have initially responded negatively to their names. So- suggested to talk in sweet voice like you would to familiar pet - can mention Boo (her 7yr old boy) or call her Baby Girl (his pet name for her). If YOU would be willing to set up a simple feeding station, would you please text, call or PM me so Ill know that location. If you have neighbors that are not on FB, please share Graces info with them! THANK YOU so much for your help & prayers!!! After 3 weeks missing, Graces 7yr old boy, Boo (his nickname), is having a really tough time & wants/needs her home!❤️❤️
