Were getting lots of enquiries at the moment asking when Hilsea Lido &/or Hilsea Splashpool will be open.... we had a meeting with Portsmouth City Council yesterday & they confirmed that the splashpool will open on 24 May, we are about to sign the contract and look forward to managing it on behalf of PCC again this year. Our fab team of volunteers are working hard on the lido and we are hopeful that we can provide limited public opening by the end of May - but please remember, we are all volunteers, we get no direct funding, resources are very limited, were doing what we can to achieve. If you would like to help in any way we would welcome your support - maybe youd like to organise a small fundraising event amongst your friends, how about hiring a table at a car boot sale? Alternatively you could volunteer to work on site - heres some photos illustrating whats been going on lately :o)
