After she was diagnosed with a brain tumor (glioblastoma multiforme) in June of 2011, she decided to fight back and inspire others along the way. Throughout her treatments, Katy Perrys song Roar has encouraged her to get back up and fight like a champion. During one of her appointments at Connecticut Childrens Medical Center, she decided to make a music video in hopes it would go viral and raise awareness about her condition and the other types of cancers being treated at Connecticut Childrens. youtu.be/CbAFjZ-4ACU
