Were in the middle of a busy trip to MD & VA. Last night we performed at Kennedy Krieger Inst (Childrens Hospital) in Baltimore. The kids were great - there was this tiny girl who would periodically break into the biggest grin - adorable! This morning we performed at the Kilmer Center in Vienna, VA, a special ed. school. One girl with Down syndrome stood right in front of us and danced throughout the program, often moving in ways that related to the lyrics (interpretive dance!). Then we did an outdoor concert in McLean, VA, joined by Andrés Salguero on clarinet and tenor sax - with a crowd of kids continuously rushing the stage - and the weather held up!
