Were joining the campaign led by dogadoptionmb to put up warning signs all over our province to increase awareness of the dangers of leaving your pet in a vehicle. To be honest, I can not believe how many people leave dogs in cars and endanger their health and even their lives. Cars become ovens very quickly. Dogs that seem fine after being left can have internal damage that will manifest down the road. It doesnt have to be that hot out, or even a sunny day, and cracking your windows will not keep your dog cool enough. Leaving your dog alone in a vehicle is also a temptation to thieves who steal dogs right out of the vehicles. Many of these dogs are sold for profit and used as bait dogs in fighting rings. It can happen in an instant, so please really think it out before leaving your dog alone in any kind of weather!
