Were lifting the lid...on the ingredients in some skincare products, like synthetic cleansing and foaming agents Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES). These ingredients are not in any Living Nature products, and with good reason. They were originally designed for heavy duty cleaning applications and are linked to incidences of irritation of the skin and eyes. Sadly theyre prevalent in many mainstream cleansing products, such as shampoos, shower gels, soaps and facial cleansers. No surprise then that studies and much anecdotal evidence indicates those suffering from skin sensitivity to chemical ingredients frequently react to SLS and/or SLES and yet this harsh surfactant is still widely used in skin care products. Why..? Because its widely available, and relatively cheap. Yet another nasty that we leave out!
