Were not going to lie to you, next Mondays (27th Oct) show Collector of Tears is definitely one of our more avante-garde and challenging pieces that we have on at The Place this season. But let us take a few minutes to try to explain to you why its worth a trip out on a Monday evening to enjoy this fascinating piece of new writing: 1) Writer Sean Burn is also one of only five disabled writers nationally to be selected for write to play - a year long development programme (2014) with internationally renowned Graeae Theatre Company, the National Theatre Studio, The Royal Court Theatre & Soho Theatre, recognised for the quality of his writing. 2) How many shows have you seen with a live cello soundtrack? Thats right. None. Well, now is your chance to finally set that record straight.
