Were now in the the middle of Healthy Eating Week and heres a healthy granola recipe from Rhonda to kick start your day. Breakfast Cereal (Granola) Porridge Oats 14oz Sunflower Seeds 2oz Mixed Nuts 4oz (Leave these out if making for a school snack) Wheatgerm 2oz Oatbran 2oz Desiccated Coconut 3oz Sesame Seeds 1oz Raw Brown Sugar or Fruit Sugar 3oz Honey 2 tablespoons Water 1/4 pint Veg Oil 1/4 pint Vanilla Essence 1 teaspoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon Combine dry ingredients. Whisk together the water, oil, vanilla, salt and honey. Stir into dry ingredients. Spread the cereal over the base of a shallow baking tun. Bake in oven at 190c, gas mark 5 for 20/25 mins until golden brown. Turn occasionally so it doesnt burn. leave to cool before storing in an airtight container. We are a nut free school so please leave the nuts out if making for a school snack.
