Get in the holiday spirit with these Downtown events: • 12/4: Anthony Hamilton is Home for the Holidays at The Florida Theatre! Enjoy holiday classics by the platinum R&B artist and producer, while comedian Kevin (Damn Fool) Simpson hosts a full night of entertainment. • 12/5: The 3rd annual Holiday at the St. James and Tree Lighting celebration at the City Hall St. James Building and Hemming Park will feature live entertainment, holiday treats, photos with Santa, rides on the Holiday Express train, a photo booth, crafts, smores and a tree lighting ceremony at 6:45. This free event runs 4:30 to 7 p.m. • 12/6: Shop small and give big at the Vagabond Holiday Market! From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., vendors will set up shop at the corner of Laura and Adams streets to create a whimsical outdoor market featuring local craftsmen, artists, vintage and quality goods. • 12/7: Take a ride on Chris Van Allsburgs The Polar Express with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. As images from the book are projected above the stage, the words of this Caldecott Medal winner will come to life with orchestra, chorus and vocalist.
