Were proud when we can share examples of CHOP research that leads to tangible changes for a large group of kids. Yesterday, a report from CHOPs PolicyLab research center revealed that 1 in 5 Philadelphia high school students have been or are now involved with the citys child welfare or juvenile justice systems- and these students struggle more than their peers. In a joint announcement, @PolicyLabCHOP, the School District of Philadelphia, Philadelphia DHS, and the Mayors Office of Education outlined their plan to better support these students by adding 27 social workers to schools next year.
