Wes Anderson Diaries, Entry 1 - The Royal Tenenbaums: (so, Wes Anderson has made 7, soon to be 8, feature films so far, and Im planning on watching and reviewing all of them, starting with this one). So, my first Wes Anderson movie. I have to say, this guy has a real style about him. Almost reminds me of a quirkier version of Woody Allen, but a different kind of humor. This was an okay start to his work, it was definitely more character oriented rather than plot oriented. The acting was pretty good, and when it was funny, it got some laughs out of me. Got pretty slow in parts though, which kinda hurt the film a little for me. I guess I wanted to like it more than I did. I hope Wes Anderson isnt one of those directors where once you see one of his films, youve seen them all. This wasnt a bad movie, it was actually decent. Will I be watching it 60-70 times though, no. Until the next one... 7/10
