West Auroras valedictorian this year, 17-year-old Emily Krasinski, will be studying music in college — her true passion — instead of science or math as some once assumed she would. “Focus on what you believe is important, even when it isn’t the same as what everyone else believes is important,” she said. “Because if you stay focused, you’ll find success in your terms. And that’s the only thing that matters is your terms of success.”
