West Brom manager Alan Irvine openly fears for his job and Im not - TopicsExpress

West Brom manager Alan Irvine openly fears for his job and Im not expecting much of an upturn for the Baggies boss at the Britannia. While Stokes home form has been a bit suspect this season, especially against teams nearer the bottom of the table, the Albion have been struggling for consistency to say the least and come into this just two points outside of the relegation zone following back-to-back defeats at the hands of QPR and Manchester City. Nobody would have expected them to get much at the Etihad but it was a worrying sign that the game was effectively over at half-time and I wouldnt be willing to take many positives from the fact that they won the second-half 1-0. The home win looks most likely but in-form forward Bojan Krkic might not be risked by Mark Hughes just two days after picking up a minor injury in the 1-0 win over Everton on Boxing Day and thats enough for me to resist the odds-on prices. The one bet that does leap off the page, however, is Hughes men to win by the narrowest margin at 13/5. That price may not set the pulse racing at first glance but every one of Stokes six Premier League wins this term has come by a single goal and there looks a decent chance they will just have too much power for West Brom and extend that record to seven from seven.
