West Midlands Friends of Israel have taken it upon themselves to email all councillors in Birmingham raising objections to my request to raise the Palestine flag above the council house. The council house is the property of the residents kf Birmingham, and we have a say to raise a flag of our choosing. I have had requests from residents across the city to raise the flag similar to Bradford and i therefore emailed the leader Thursday after the 15 Palestinian children were killed. It is totally inexcusable of Israel to collectively punish a nation. The despicable part of the punishment is that Israel has thousands of jet fighter planes, and tanks whilst the Palestinians are defenceless. It is no coincindence that over 1000 Palestinians have been killed the majority innocent civilians whilst on the Israeli side around 40 soldiers have been killed a handful of civilians. In addition Israel has broken more UN resolutions that any other country in the history of the UN. I would like to place on record my thanks to Khalid Mahmood for his unreserved support to fly the flag of Palestine over the council house. The campaign will continue and inshallah with your help we will succeed to raise awareness of the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Can I request everyone to email their local councillors, and MPs pledging their support for the flag raising to show solidarity with the innocent children of Gaza who are being systematically killed by the Israeli war machine.
