West State Street-Exit 74 Hotel Project Planned Fairfield Inn and Suites Construction to Begin Officials of IMIC (Interstate Management and Investment Corporation) Hotels were issued a building permit recently by the city of Bristol Tennessee for a Fairfield Inn & Suites. The development will be located on a property off of West State Street at Exit 74. The project will be a four story, 98 room hotel and will cost approximately $5.93 million dollars to complete. The general contractor for the construction project will be Bristol-based Frizzell Construction Company with local subcontractors, Kingsport Armature Electric Co., Jack Kite Mechanical, Premier Fire Protection, T&B Contractors and Carter Contractors LLC. “This is a redevelopment project in a highly visible location. The influx of new rooms is a welcome addition to nearby commercial construction activity as well as the medical services in the area,” said Shari Brown, Community Development Director for the city. According to the IMIC website the company is headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, with properties throughout the southeast including 14 properties throughout Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
