West Virginia State Police Press Release Welch, West Virginia - On Monday, October 20, 2014, Troopers from the Welch State Police Detachment arrested Donald Bailey (Crumpler, WV) and Troy Justice (Panther, WV) for their roles in the deaths of Brandon Church (21 YOA – Ieager, WV) and Clinton Mullins (46 YOA – Garland, WV). In the early morning hours, of Sunday, October, 19, 2014, Trooper D. R. Murray responded to reports of a vehicle crash and fire in the Long Pole area of McDowell County. Once on scene, Trooper Murray learned that two (2) bodies were found inside of the burned vehicle. The focus of the investigation shifted from a vehicle crash to a possible homicide. In the hours following, Troopers uncovered information leading them to believe Mr. Church and Mr. Mullins had been killed prior to the vehicle fire. This information was substantiated leading to the arrest of Donald Bailey for 2 counts of 1st Degree Murder, 3rd Degree Arson, and Conspiracy. Troy Justice was charged with 2 counts of Accessory to Murder, 3rd Degree Arson, and Conspiracy. Further questions should be directed to Sergeant C. F.
