West Virginia needs your help. For those in West Virginia please call your legislators ASAP. The WV legislature is weakening a water bill that the citizens were told was to address some of the issues concerning the contamination of the water supply of 300,000 residents. Even though this bill was touted as protecting the citizens, it was actually designed to protect the hydrofracking industry injection well sites. It appears that the Judiciary committee worked to make it stronger but the finance committee has stripped the work of the judiciary committee and now gone so far as to deny health monitoring of the citizens who have been affected by the polluted water!!! The finance committee claims that it would cost too much it bogus!!! I served on the Finance Committee in the House and whenever the governor didnt want a bill to pass, the governor put a huge financial note on the bill and claimed that the state didnt have the resources. When the governor wanted a bill passed even if it would cost the state millions, it would come up from the Governors office with a zero fiscal note. Call your representatives! Call the Governors office. Earl Ray Tomblin knows how this works. He was the Chair of the Finance Committee in the Senate. Call him on this!!! For those of you outside WV we ask for your prayers.
