Western Australia Premier Fails in his Stubborn Attempts to Bully Great Whites. Opposed first by Sea Shepherd Australia, followed by opposition from the Western Australian Environmental Protection Agency and that decision followed by the dropping of support from the Australian Federal government, Barnett still continues to insist that environmentalists, scientists and environmental officials in his own state and in the Federal government are wrong whereas he is right in wanting to continue indiscriminate killing of the endangered Great White Shark. “Colin Barnett simply hates sharks,” said Captain Paul Watson. “It could be when he was a child he was frightened when he went to the beach because someone yelled ‘shark.’ His hatred of sharks and his frenzy to kill as many of them as he can is simply not reasonable.” After a surfer was recently attacked by what the surfer described as ‘bronze whaler sharks,” Barnett said the surfer was mistaken and immediately had two Great Whites in the area slaughtered. “He is seemingly afraid of the water,” said Captain Watson. “He really should be more afraid of the voters because more and more of them are looking at the Premier as someone more obsessed with killing sharks than in representing the real interests of the people of Western Australia.” Three years ago, Barnett wanted to destroy the nursing waters of the Humpback whales in order to construct a gas port. Today is it the sharks he wants to destroy. Barnett also disagrees with the endangered status of the Great White and insists that despite it’s listing worldwide as an endangered species that it is not in his opinion “Endangered.” Barnett is also amongst the minority of politicians who reject 99% of the scientific communities assertion that climate change is a reality.. “They have not presented sufficient evidence to convince me.” And as long as the coal companies continue to make political contributions the chances of Barnett accepting sufficient evidence remains extremely thin. hark-drum-lines/
