Western Nepal to Eastern Nepal: Part 1 A horror day of ride was followed by yet another long ride through the Heart of Nepal. Riding a distance of 550Kms from the western Nepal to the Eastern Nepal to enter India through the Kakarvitta border. It was a usual morning to me with a healthy breakfast to kick off my ride. Only breather was the feeling of Entering my motherland after 3rd International border crossing which awaited me. I left Maruni Sanctuary Lodge with the same feeling. I started my ride after lubricating the chain, riding through a 2 lane highway is challenging specially if u r riding 550kms of it in a day. The feeling was just sinking in till I crossed Hetauda and in no time I was riding under 40deg Celsius of intense heat. Riding through the country side of Nepal I crossed few prominent places of Nepal. Having known that I will be forced to survive just on water I made pit stops every hundred kilometers to hydrate myself and rode on covering few breath taking landscapes and huge flat lands. A raw flavor of Nepali culture and tradition kept me going even under intense heat. Half a day passed by I was still riding non stop and covered a good 200kms. I still had 350kms to ride and what followed was a story of my ride in pitch dark only hoping to find some light. It was the time I was supposed to hold my nerves or else perish in the dark.
