Western Sahara, a cause similar to that of Eritrea and Namibia, fell under Spanish colonisation, and when the Spaniards left it was occupied by its larger neighbour to the North, Morocco, in 1975. Since then the issue has become a cause for regional tension between Algeria that support Sahrawis right to self-determination and Morocco that considers the territory part of its historic kingdom (reminds me of Ethiopian regimes idiocratic argument ;-)). In the middle the people of Western Sahara continue to suffer. :-(
