Wet your appetite with this passage from my book. This should serve as your wake up call too. Just as one must step up to the plate and claim their part of the responsibility for seeking solutions, so must all. There is no hiding place and no excuses. This is a call to the militant groups on both sides of the racial issues, the political issues, the religious issues, and all those other barriers we have erected between the various segments of the Human race. We are the ones who built the walls; it is up to all of us to expend the power necessary to tear them down and replace them with bridges of trust strong enough to support the truth. It is a cry to those in the educational system to revitalize our schools with positive energy and courses that teach our children real life skills. It is time to let go of what is no longer applicable in today’s reality, time to revise an archaic system filled with dusty ideas and false promises. It is time to replace old courses of the past with innovative, skill-based programs that teach people how to develop, according to their individual talents, a life plan that will bring them self-fulfillment and help them become positive contributors to society. It is time for the politicians to put aside their egos and greed, getting serious about becoming leaders by earning the right to lead from the people they represent. We need to be looking at our entire system of government and revise it to truly reflect the needs and expectations of the society that elects those in positions of power. We need to revise that system and the processes within it that have evolved to the point of political paralysis. It is time for our leadership to develop into models and mentors, supporting the people, rather than people who seek to control, for whatever reasons, the populace for whom and to whom they are responsible. It is time for religious leaders to stop running clubs based upon exclusivity, ego and money. Theirs is an awesome responsibility, and it is one that has been violated. They deal with people’s minds and spirits. They must also become models and mentors of the philosophies they teach. They must assume the responsibility for their actions. They must also earn the trust and respect of the people they lead. There should be a differentiation between profits and prophecy. Dr. Terry Jackson
