Weve all heard a TON this year about the greatness of Jabari Parker of Duke and Andrew Wiggins of Kansas. Both turned in turds of a performance in their teams biggest game of the year. Parker scored 14 points against Mercer on 28% shooting. Wiggins scored 2 points against Stanford on 17% shooting. Just how terrible was Wiggins performance? His scoring stat line [1-6 on FG; 2-2 FT] was identical to the scoring stat line of Stanfords back-up F/C John Gage. BUT, Gage accomplished this in 1/2 THE TIME it took for Wiggins to do so. And Gage had 0 turnovers to Wiggins 4 turnovers. And Gage accomplished what he accomplished against a 2 seed; Wiggins accomplished what he accomplished against a 10 seed.) These guys might be good in the future, but they certainly are not great now . . . nowhere near justifying the hype of all these speculators around the game nowadays.
