Weve been getting a lot of inquiries about pet turtles recently. Please: 1) Dont collect turtles from the wild! If you would like a pet turtle, purchase one from a reputable pet dealer, or adopt one from an authorized rescue agency! 2) Dont release pet turtles into the wild! Its dangerous for them AND for wild populations. 3) If you have a turtle you can no longer care for, DO take the time to find it a good home with someone who understands reptile care, or contact your local native turtle/herp rescue society.
