Weve been getting a lot of inquiries lately at gigs and through e mails from fans of the Talking Machine page as to why they are no longer receiving status updates from our page in their news feed. Unfortunately, the ability of Facebook pages such as ours to reach fans has been steadily diminishing in recent months due to Facebook algorithm changes. Now, a new Facebook page design is imminent which apparently decimates Facebook reach even further according to page administrators that have already switched over to the new design. It seems that the best way to ensure that you stay connected to the Facebook pages you enjoy is to make sure that you go to that page and select “Get Notifications” from the drop down box that appears when you click the “Liked” button. Another way to ensure you get status updates is to like, comment and/or share posts from Talking Machines FB page on a regular basis when you see them in your news feed. Interacting with a page’s posts and/or selecting “Get Notifications” is the best bet for a smooth transition to the new design with no interruptions. Now, heres the real news- Talking Machine will be making our debut at Walshs Town Tavern in Patterson NY tonight at 9pm! Memorial Day weekend is a crazy one for us starting on Thursday May 22 at Darien Social in Darien CT at 9pm, Friday at Andes Hotel in Andes NY for CANS AND CLAMS!!!! at 6pm, and Saturday May 24th we are fortunate to being playing a wedding in New Haven CT with our good friend Ant Defraia behind the cocktail kit.
