Weve been hearing this Barred Owl for years, and had occasional fleeting glimpses. This morning he was perched over the chicken coop, staring intently at the birds below. I was cautious approaching, as I thought he might fly away, but he cared less about me. I made some clicking noises to get him to look at me. Eventually he gave up on a chicken breakfast, and flew lazily off. This is three of about 50 shots I took. Nikon D7000, f5.6 @ 1000th, ISO 2500, 300mm lens
