Weve been sharing some stories from our friends at The Build It Forward Foundation over the last week or so, and being the time of year where we think about giving and getting… I wanted to share this short video with you about a trip I took about a year ago to Haiti with Build It Forward. This was filmed as we finalized a project which raised $170,000.00 for The Town of Slave Lake following the devastating fires they endured. The town was challenged to Build It Forward, and they donated a portion of the money raised to benefit earthquake victims in Haiti. They say a way to take the suffering they had been through, and turn it around into something with purpose and meaning by being outward looking, and by helping their neighbours who had also suffered greatly. The project saw a part of the Slave Lake Public Library rebuilt, along with a soccer field, playground and church renovation in Repatriote Haiti. Local. Global.
